Read the rest...I have long been a believer of the fact that when you lower entry barriers for people, you get more of what you want. For example, if you want someone to read your email, keep it brief, provide a next action for them to do, and include all the pertinent information right in the body of the message.
This can be applied across the board on any subject. People are not inclined to go above and beyond for anything unless they see immediate gains for themselves. If you make it very easy for them to participate, you will find that it happens.
Del.icio.us is a social bookmarks manager. It allows you to save and categorize your bookmarks online in a simple and easy to retrieve way.
There have been many additional tools that have been developed to enable quick bookmarking. It has become an integral part of organizing the large amount of links that come through.
On the right is just an RSS feed of the most recent 5 links I have added to my del.icio.us links.
For a little de.icio.us fun, visit Oishii.
In this article, Janine Benyus, cofounder of the Biomimicry Guild, says:
"If you have a design problem, nature’s probably solved it already. After all, it’s had 3.8 billion years to come up with solutions…The truth is, natural organisms have managed to do everything we want to do without guzzling fossil fuels, polluting the planet or mortgaging the future."
Lets look to the planet for the answers. How can we incorporate these ideas into everyday life. Is it a personal thing, or are there ways of introducing it to the general population? Do we lead by example only, or can we push it out there?
